We are able to offer fitment of off road equipment to your vehicle or to one
from our stock list. Many options are available including winches, suspension,
raised air intakes, roll cages, body lifts, wheels/tyres and numerous other
aspects to improve capability off road.
Examples of some of our work:
This was part of a refurbishment (including re-spray from green to white) and
the customer wanted something more substantial than a basic military roll hoop
but nothing extreme as a full cage so we designed and made this cage in house.
Lightweight in the workshop being stripped down ready to roll cage measurements
to be made as it had to fit within existing hood sticks.
Trial fit of basic hoop and stays prior to cross brace bar, all fits neatly
inside of hood sticks and hood can be removed normally.
Roll cage fully welded up and ready for painting (along with rest of vehicle!)
Cage fitted and painted
Hood sticks fitted

Fully finished, neat and strong roll cage all fitted and refurbished lightweight
ready for collection by customer.
This brief for this project is an extreme off road prepared Discovery.

Before work started this was a standard 300 Tdi commercial Discovery.
Phase 1 was to fit the upgraded suspension, here the only the rear is fitted and
shows the height difference!
Phase 1 complete, new suspension fitted all round giving approximately 3 inches
of lift, lowered shock absorber mountings with dislocation ability. Old Man Emu
springs and shock absorbers chosen as they are long lasting and durable.

Phase 2 was to fit a 2 inch body lift, by inserting spacer blocks between
chassis to body mounts

Phase 3 was to cut the wheel arches out and fit extended width arches
Testing that the new sized tyres will fit under the arches, note size compared
to standard front!

Fitted with the 36x12.5x16 Simex ET2 Tyres on 10x16 Mach 5 wheels
Shows one of the ARB differentials, a pair of these were fitted into the front
and rear axles to allow them to be locked for maximum traction off road. As a
result of fitting these and the extreme grip provided by the Simex tyres a full
set of Ashcroft front and rear half shafts, front and rear drive flanges and
front CV joints were fitted as these are much stronger than standard so can
withstand the grip now available.
Rear winch fitted (Warn XP), the original cross member was cut out and a winch
tray welded in place along with additional supports and fuel tank bracket
modified to fit.
This shows rear winch installation gives excellent departure angle and keeps the
rear end looking neat and tidy. Also note the exhaust has been modified to exit
from the side to reduce chance of damage when off roading.
Shows ARB Roobar fitted with Warn XP (N.B. matching front and rear winches), the
ARB Roobar was modified so that it sits neatly in line with the bodywork by
altering the mounting brackets. Steering damper moved from the vulnerable
standard position which would be behind the front axle this is moved high up at
the front reducing chance of damage.
