This restoration used a 1958 Land Rover Series 2 SWB Petrol as a donor
vehicle. Family owned from new it had been taken off road several years ago and
was in need of restoration. Restored to customers specification the
engine/gearbox were in good running order so the vehicle received new galvanised
chassis, original bulkhead restored, axles over-hauled with new chrome swivels,
then many new parts such as suspension, brakes, fuel tank, cooling system and
more were fitted and the Land Rover bodywork received attention along with a
re-spray inside and out. To finish off a set of front and rear 'elephant' hide
type seats were fitted along with new soft top conversion.
